State Representative Bronna Kahle visited the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Student Medical Clinic in May, 2022 to present a special tribute award to Medical Clinic Director – Kelly Truchan, Medical Assistant – Faith Neubig, Administrative Assistant – Danielle Camera, and Director of Counseling Services – Kellie Berger.
The State of Michigan honored the medical clinic staff for their exemplary work ethic, steadfast commitment, and dedication to serve the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ community.
“During the 2021-2022 academic year, the staff of the student medical clinic continued to make students top priority amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The team has an outstanding and positive influence across campus,” said Truchan.
Truchan and her staff were commended for their important service and for always going above and beyond. This special tribute is signed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II, State Representative Bronna Kahle, and State Senator Dale Zorn.
During the special tribute ceremony, attendees were also greeted by Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ President Jeffrey Docking who noted his unwavering support for the Student Medical Clinic. Also, in attendance and showing their support was Vice President of Enrollment and Student Affairs, Frank Hribar, Vice President of Business Affairs, Jerry Wright, and Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs, Andrea Milner, amongst many others who gathered to congratulate those awarded.
“The student medical clinic will cherish this tribute and work diligently to continue providing wonderful care to the community,” said Truchan.
The Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Student Medical Clinic offers a range of services including, COVID-19 testing, medical exams, common laboratory services, short-term prescriptions, influenza vaccinations, and wellness education. The health center sees students for many illnesses such as cold and cough, acute injuries, allergies, and general health concerns. In addition to physical illness, the health center can also assist in referrals to counseling services on-campus, as well as off-campus.
Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ’s Student Medical Clinic can be found inside the Medial Clinic building, located between Arrington Ice Arena and Docking Stadium.
